Parental counseling
This type of counselling supports parents with a set of knowledge and tools to guide and support them to cope more easily with the challenges that come along with having and raising children.
Parental counseling offers a reflective and supportive space for parents who want to deepen their understanding of their child—and of themselves in the parenting role. It is not about ready-made solutions or labels, but about relationship, emotional experience, and meaning.
What This Support Can Offer:
Exploring a child’s emotional and behavioral difficulties (such as anxiety, anger, withdrawal, or adjustment challenges).
Understanding developmental stages and the psychological needs specific to each age.
Exploring the dynamics of the parent–child relationship and the influence of parents’ own lived experiences.
Support for Parents During Times of Transition, Including Separation, Loss, and Major Life Changes
By using scientifically validated tools such as the Parent–Child Relationship Inventory (PCRI) and the Quality of Life Inventory (QOLI), we gain meaningful reference points for reflection and therapeutic work, without reducing parents to labels or scores.
The information we gather helps us develop a more nuanced understanding of the existing challenges and, together, to identify personalized directions for our work. Counseling does not stop at assessment; rather, it builds upon it to support meaningful, concrete changes in the parent–child relationship.
